I am a married mother of three grown children and a grandmother to five young ones. About 18 years ago, I helped a friend with a homebirth and I was hooked for life. I spent four years attending births with her, then she ‘retired’ and I was on my own. I’ve been catching babies for 14 years now as a direct entry midwife and am attending Ancient Art Midwifery Institute (3 yr. distance learning program) in preparation for taking the NARM exam in order to become a certified professional midwife. In the mean time, I also took time to become certified as a doula, a childbirth educator and a lactation counselor.
I love normal birth, breastfeeding and educating parents. I love helping moms have a natural, safe, joyful birth. I stay very busy between bellies, babies, boobies and school.
And it keeps me from becoming an interfering mother-in-law….LOL.
Wow! We have a lot in common! What a wonderful life you have. Hope to hear from you.
